Austria - Hong Kong Technology Days 2022 Construction & Mobility

Smart City Consortium 
The SCC is a non-government and non-profit organization to facilitate the development of the smart city agenda in Hong Kong. On 26 January, 2016, the Hong Kong Smart City Consortium signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Austrian Technology Corporation in Hong Kong, witnessed by Mr Nicholas Yang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Claudia Reinprecht, Austrian Consul General in Hong Kong, and Ir. Allen Yeung, Government Chief Information Officer. Mr. Eric Yeung, Convener of Smart City Consortium, signed the document with Austrian Technology Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer Tino Terraneo. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding facilitates the Smart City information exchange between Austria and Hong Kong. Both, Austria and Hong Kong can learn from each other’s experience.

The Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC)
is a non-profit, member-led organisation established in 2009 which strives to promote the standards and developments of sustainable buildings in Hong Kong. The HKGBC aims to raise green building awareness by engaging the public, the industry and the government, and to develop practical solutions for Hong Kong’s unique, subtropical built environment of high-rise, high-density urban areas, leading Hong Kong to become a world’s exemplar of green building development.

The Austrian Technology Corporation
The AUSTRIAN TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION (ATC) is an umbrella organisation of Austrian technology companies from a wide variety of sectors, which have joined forces to create a common platform. ATC brings important Austrian technology firms together, export financing banks and operators. ATC acts as a coordination centre for business relationships in Austria and abroad, thereby allowing international customers to access know-how developed by industry and operators in Austria. It is in this capacity that ATC is also appointed as a project coordinator in the context of bilateral technology cooperations in the topics of infrastructure and smart city.
